A cup of kindness this October

There’s something so comforting about sharing tea outdoors in autumn. The air feels fresher, the leaves are turning, and the conversations always seem to linger a little longer. This month’s Brew took place in the field above The King William IV in Hailey, Ipsden, and it couldn’t have been lovelier.

The Morris Minor was packed as always — chairs, mugs, kettle, teapot and, of course, a lemon drizzle cake or two. Slowly, people began to arrive, some familiar faces and plenty of new ones too. What I love most about these gatherings is how naturally people start talking, strangers becoming friends over a simple cup of tea.

There’s never any plan or pressure, just an open invitation to step outside, slow down and share a moment together. Watching everyone chat, laugh and soak in the view reminded me, once again, that this really is what it’s all about, connection, kindness and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined and helped make October’s Brew such a special one. Until the next kettle boils…
